IDF Recovers Body of Itay Svirsky, Who Was Abducted From Kibbutz Be’eri and Murdered in Captivity

Itay Svirsky, 38, from Tel Aviv, was abducted while visit family at the kibbutz. His parents were murdered on October 7. Hamas released a video in January showing him alive, but the IDF declared him dead two days later. Svirsky was held in captivity with Noa Argamani and Yossi Sharabi

The IDF announced on Wednesday that its forces have recovered from Gaza the body of Itay Svirsky, 38, from Tel Aviv, who was abducted while visiting family at Kibbutz Be’eri and murdered in captivity. Hamas released a video in January showing him and another hostage, Yossi Sharabi, alive, but the IDF declared that the two men dead two days later. Noa Argamani, who also appeared in the video, was rescued in June from the Nuseirat refugee camp, where she was held captive with them. One hundred hostages are still held in Gaza, 36 of whom the IDF has declared dead.
