I, Too, Could Have Been Killed in Vain Serving Israel’s Settlement Project

I could have been Gur Kehati, the soldier killed in southern Lebanon in November while guarding a civilian, Ze’ev Erlich. After having been killed in a foolish breach of the peace at a mosque in Bani Naim in the West Bank, that would be my mother begging for answers at the memorial for Erlich, or Zhabo, as he was known as. She would be the butt of faceless lies, then to discover in a statement by the head of the Samaria Regional Council that she was “a left-wing activist.”
