The Biden administration will send approximately USD 125 million in new military aid to Ukraine, U.S. officials confirmed on Thursday. This aid comes as Washington seeks more clarity on Kyiv’s recent incursion into Russia and its impact on the broader objectives in the ongoing war, now over two years long, reported PTI.
The latest package includes a variety of military support such as air defense missiles, munitions for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), Javelin anti-tank missiles, as well as counter-drone and counter-electronic warfare systems. Additionally, it will provide 155mm and 105mm artillery ammunition, vehicles, and other essential equipment.
The officials, who disclosed this information under anonymity, stated that the aid package could be formally announced as early as Friday, just ahead of Ukraine’s Independence Day.
