Abstract
This systematic review examines the current state of knowledge among students regarding child abuse and counseling. A comprehensive search was conducted of academic databases and relevant literature to identify studies that measured the knowledge of students in this area. The findings reveal a concerning lack of knowledge among students on the topic of child abuse and counseling, including the identification of abuse, its impact on children, and appropriate counseling interventions. The review also identifies the need for improved education and training for students in this area to better equip them to identify and support children who have experienced abuse. The study also reviews the role of NGOs in creating awareness of child abuse in India. The study concludes that addressing this knowledge gap is essential to ensuring effective prevention of and response to child abuse.
