Comments – Swing State Debates Episode Four: The Jewish Vote in Pennsylvania

Interesting debate! I feel that the school boards and system have gotten completely out of control of the parents. In fact, my Jewish daughter had to sit through a lecture by her high school history teacher in which he read “Mien Kampf” because he wanted his students to understand Hitler’s thinking. My great aunts and uncles were systematically murdered by this fascist’s thinking. Parents should and do need to have a say in what their kids are taught (indoctrinated). We all need to focus on reading, writing, history (all of it) and not which pronouns or what type of sex they plan to have when they are grown.

I have one comment. It was SO refreshing to hear people give mostly reasoned, respectful comments. There were a few instances of talking over one another, but by and large this gave me hope for future reasoned discussion and debate. Thank you!

I really enjoyed listening to the debate. I think Left-Wing Jews voting for Kamala, it is a good understanding why some Jews are now (begrudgingly) going to Trump. I won’t speak for all Jews, as my parents are die-hard Trump supporters, but some.

For my non Jewish friends, I don’t think they would even care about this type of argument. They cannot fathom a world where you are actually murdered for simply existing, outside of the empty calls that LGBTQIA+ and Trans will be wiped out if Trump gets elected. I appreciated the listen!

I think we will all see a stampeding of Jews and White Catholics to Trump. Both groups would be crazy to think that Harris has their best interests. She hates both groups.

The left/progressive bias in this article should concern all readers of TFP. For example, “the rise in left-wing anti-Zionism” (not the rise in left wing anti semitism) but “no strangers to right-wing antisemitism” (not right wing anti Zionism). This is the type of bias typical of the NYT or Wapo. Finally, unlike the Jews in Israel, American Jews do not know who their enemires are.

I learned years ago that dummierat’s aren’t very bright and tend to be a little uptight. They also hate the truth, that’s why they flock to the worst media outlets like bugs to a light.

The hypocrisy of lib’s would be comical if it wasn’t so pathetic. They say Trump’s a bad guy and vulgar but they thought Slick Willy was wonderful.

We had 4 years of Trump and none of the thing’s they harp about ever came up except in the corrupt media.

Joe and Kabala have crapped all over the constitution and broke every pledge they swore to uphold.

Per my opinion, the blonde woman on the right had the clearest view of reality and was convincing. The mid-east Arabs have turned down every opportunity for a peaceful solution. The Jewish people have always had a right to a mid-east homeland and have always been subject to rabid and violent discrimination. People, who have much to say about the subject, are clueless about the history.

This administration, and many previous administrations, tout the relationship and manipulate both sides for their own ends. Say what you will about Trump, but he’s stood up, as we all should. Israel needs to nail it down NOW!

Few people are willing to switch group loyalties and are blind to the failings of their team. Republicans dismiss Trump’s sexual comments about his daughter as simple rudeness and his attempted coup as no big deal. It’s no suprise that American Jews haven’t en masse picked up and switched sides.

Between “There are good people on both sides” and “Jewish Space Lasers” Republicans don’t exactly represent multicultural harmony.

There were people on the panel whose parents were Holocaust survivors. Some are voting for Trump. There was one woman who hated Trump and is voting for Harris. How can a Jew vote for Harris? The Dem party does not like Jews. I don’t think this was a great representation of Pittsburgh Jews.

OK Trump is vulgar, but how much should that matter? And, it isn’t just some Jews who are leaving the Dems, it’s a lot of liberals who came to realize since Clinton the Dems are a very different party and right now too many people don’t understand just how different. You want details? Check out Tulsi Gabbard, labeled terrorist by the Biden administration, on YouTube, she nails it better than anyone.

What I find most mind boggling is that there is even the possibility that two thirds of Jews would vote Democrat. I can understand if Trump was never President and the fear mongering by the mainstream media frightened Jews but Trump was in office for 4 years. During those 4 years, he was arguably the best President for Jews and for Israel. Cmon wake up people, the proof of the pudding is in the tasting. Had he have been Obama, there is not a question that he would have garnered the Nobel Peace Prize for the Abraham Accords. BTW, what did Obama do to earn the Nobel? Nothing but talk and no results.

And what is the other choice? The Dems who also have proven themselves by action after Oct 7th. They have thrown us under the bus every time. Harris said the death toll is too high which is a blatant lie. They told us not to go in Rafah cuz you know ….. Harris studied the maps. Thank goodnesss Israel has not listened to their advice. The vast vast vast antisemitism and violence against us is not coming from people wearing Maga hats, they are all coming from the Left.

Please wake up because if Harris gets ih and we have 4 more years of them, antisemitism is going to rise even further. This is IMHO the most important election for the future of Jews in America and in reality when it comes to POLICY this should be one of the easiest choices for Jews.

I struggle to understand how two-thirds of American Jews support Harris. One choice involves a bit of “vulgarity.” The other requires acceptance of the Obama doctrine that pushes for Iran to get nukes to “even things up.” And to support the current administration spying on Israel and handing over espionage by the National-Geospatial Intelligence Agency to Iran.

Google presidential profanity or vulgarity. Trump is right up there, but so is Nixon and so is Lyndon Johnson and many others. It is just harder to hide today. Once upon a time what was private was private, but even public could be hidden. From what I have read Johnson was pretty vulgar and crass.

And there it is, Ben….”vulgarity”…the hive whistle of the day. That’s all you’ve got for balance? Great reporting, LOL! Keep spewing spittle from that you are fed, like a petulant child. We notice now.
