Fires break out near the Sea of Galilee, firefighters stop it from spreading

On Saturday evening, eight firefighter teams from the Tiberias regional station, along with the assistance of six firefighting planes, worked to combat large fires at two different sites in open areas: one on the Mount of Beatitudes and the other near Hukok Beach.

The teams managed to prevent the fire from spreading towards nearby communities and sites and are working to extinguish the flames. The fire is almost completely under control. It is unclear how the fire started.
