High Court: Emergency gun licenses were improperly distributed, state must reconsider them

The High Court of Justice published a decision on Tuesday stating that the National Security Ministry’s distribution of gun licenses was carried out without the proper authority and that the state should suspend it.

The court asked the government to investigate ways to suspend the licenses and gave the state until November 20 to do so.

In addition, the court ordered the state to examine some of the procedures used today to grant licenses for firearms.
