A man who has been to every country in the world has given a ranking for the top 10.
Travel vlogger Drew Binsky revealed his favourite countries in the world in a YouTube video after visiting all 195 of them.
And at the top of his list was the Philippines, a country he’s been visiting since 2013. The nation is an archipelagic country in southeast Asia, in the Pacific Ocean.
One of his favourite things about the Philippines is how untouched a lot of it is. The country has over 7,500 islands, a third of which are uninhabited.
He said that when visiting “you’ll have a huge smile on your face” as you’ll know that you are welcome and the country is beautiful, safe, affordable and many people speak English.
Coming in second was Iran, a country in the Middle East which borders Turkey, Iraq, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Drew said there is a misconception about Iran being dangerous but that it feels like one of the safest countries in the world. He said he walks around at 2am and people are still nice.
The UK Foreign Office advises against all travel to Iran. This week, a British couple travelling the world were arrested in the country on ‘spying’ charges.
Drew noted that Iran shares the same core values and cuisine as neighbouring Afghanistan but is less traditional and more modernised.
Drew said he makes his vlogs about “people, culture and anything else I find interesting”. He added that his ultimate goal was to “inspire you to travel far and wide”.
