Two days after Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, Lika Avruzki, a 39-year-old filmmaker who was living in Moscow, decided to flee. Five days later, together with her mother, she was outside the borders of the country where she no longer saw a future for herself or others like her. She knows she will never be able to go back to Russia.
