Israel attacks Hezbollah depots in Lebanon, tunnel on Lebanese-Syrian border

TEL AVIV, February 9. /TASS/. Israel has struck a tunnel on the border between Syria and Lebanon that was used by Hezbollah to smuggle weapons, as well as Hezbollah weapons depots and missile launchers in Lebanon, the IDF Defense Forces (IDF) said.

“A short while ago, IAF (Israeli Air Force – TASS) aircraft conducted a precise intelligence based strike on an underground tunnel crossing from Syrian territory into Lebanese territory that was used by Hezbollah to smuggle weapons in the Beqqa area,” it said.

“Additionally, the IAF struck several Hezbollah sites containing munitions and rocket launchers that posed an imminent threat in Lebanese territory,” it added.
