In the past three months, 101 soldiers have been killed in Gaza, Lebanon and on the northern border. One hundred and one. In December alone, after the cease-fire in Lebanon went into effect, 16 soldiers fell in Gaza. They’ll continue to be killed there at the same rate. The surviving hostages will also die. The goal of the war is a continuation of the war. It’s a shame and a disgrace that the army’s General Staff and the intelligence organizations aren’t saying to the government: That’s it. We’ve done what there is to do. We’ve crushed, ground, exploded, bombed. Enough. We have no more goals and targets in Gaza, and we have hostages and soldiers who need to be brought back home.
