MOSCOW, February 11. /TASS/. Russia highly appreciates the positive dynamics in the development of its long-standing, strong, and friendly relations with Iran; deepening the dialogue between the two countries’ legislators will contribute to strengthening the strategic partnership, Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko said in a congratulatory telegram sent to Iranian Majlis (Parliament) Speaker Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf to mark the national holiday – the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
“We highly appreciate the positive momentum in the development of Russian-Iranian ties, whose endurance and friendly nature have been tested by time. Our approaches to resolving issues on the regional and global agendas are close or fully coincide,” the speaker wrote.

“I am convinced that deepening the dialogue between the legislators of the two countries will contribute to the further strengthening of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Russia and Iran,” Matviyenko said.
The speaker wished her Iranian colleagues good health and success in their responsible activities.
