US stocks muted at open after latest jobs data
Wall Street’s main indexes opened flat on Friday, as investors expected the Federal Reserve to take a more cautious stance on interest rates after the latest batch of jobs data.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 14.9 points, or 0.03%, at the open to 44762.57. The S&P 500 fell 0.4 points, or 0.01%, at the open to 6083.13, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 17.1 points, or 0.09%, to 19774.867 at the opening bell.
Oil India Q3 Results: Standalone net profit falls 22.9% YoY to Rs 1,222 crore
Oil India reported a lower-than-expected Q3 profit as weaker selling prices offset strong demand. Standalone net profit fell 22.9% to Rs 1,222 crore, missing analysts’ estimate of Rs 1,646 crore, according to LSEG data. FTSE 100 slips from record high ahead of U.S. payrolls data

On Friday, Reserve Bank of India’s new Governor, Sanjay Malhotra, announced that the RBI will establish a panel to conduct a thorough review of the trading and settlement timings of markets regulated by the central bank.
At the conclusion of the three-day Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting, Malhotra mentioned that a working group, comprising representatives from various stakeholders, will be set up to carry out the review in light of recent developments in financial markets and market infrastructure.
The panel is expected to submit its report by April 30 of this year.
