On October 7, Tal Haimi, who was part of kibbutz Nir Yitzhak’s security squad, set out to defend his home. For months, there was some hope that he had “only” been abducted, but in December, his family was informed that he had been murdered, and his body taken captive into Gaza. A fourth son was born to him in May, and Tal has yet to return.
