According to US Special Envoy Steve Whitkoff, the aim of the meeting in Saudi Arabia is to discuss issues related to the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. On March 7, US National Security Adviser Mike Waltz said the US team will include US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and himself.
In Saudi Arabia, Zelensky is scheduled to hold talks with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.
“I will start next week with a visit to Saudi Arabia,” Zelensky wrote on X. “Ukrainian diplomatic and military representatives will stay for a meeting on Tuesday with a US team. The Ukrainian team will include Andrey Yermak, Andrey Sibiga, Rustem Umerov and Pavel Palisa.”
